Device Management (DM)
At the heart of AXN's MDM platform a comprehensive Automatic Device Detection and Configuration component that picks up on new combinations of SIM's and mobile devices entering the network.
Once detected, and based on a preconfigured rules engine can provision and configure various services on the device. MDM supports OMA-CP and OMA-DM for these operations as well as enabling proprietary protocols to be plugged in.
AXN's MDM platform has a built-in campaign manager and SMSC (optional) which can be utilized for for advanced subscription based services and operations:
Managing the permissions and content of groups of phones – useful for managing fleet of devices by enterprises. Firmware updates over the air (FOTA) compliant with OMA FUMO Software components update compliant with OMA Software Component Management Object (SCoMo)
Decisions on configurations and settings are done based on GSMA device database, which is regularly updated and contains information about thousands of devices.
Among the services that can be provisioned over the air
SIM OTA enables the operator to control the (U) SIM / (I) SIM / SIM/ eSIM in its network over the air.
This includes remote file management for (U) SIM cards, and various tasks on GSM SIM standard files, as defined in 3GPP TS 51.011. The remote file management module implements 3GPP TS 23.048 for Over-The-Air transport protocol, making the solution vendor independent.
The solution enables control of JavaTM Card based (U)SIMs. The platform enables remote management of applets according to ETSI SCP TS 102 226 and 3GPP TS 31.116.
SIMOTA solution can include an optional Embedded SIM (e-SIM) solution. The e-SIM solution provides the ability to do remotely upload complete SIM profiles to supporting hardware. The solution is an implementation of the relevant GSMA standards, and in particular “Remote Provisioning Architecture for Embedded UICC”.

The solution enables clients to issue control commands on SIM cards, this is done by using the MDM+ rich API or through the user interface. The requests are queued, processed in turn by the business logic module, and the delivery module then wraps the needed commands over the appropriate bearer to the UICC. Status and reports can be collected in real time or as a request for report at a later time.
